I'm sorry to go, but I won't be playing WoW any more. It's a combination of things - I've been unable to get past the loading screen for some time, a problem a lot of people seem to be having and Blizzard are aware of, yet seem incapable of providing decent feedback through the Tech Support forum (at least the EU one). I also really dislike Stormwind now. It's not just that the scenery's changed, although I have to say I preferred the old SW (and not just the tree), but it's so crowded and you often can't see anything (even questgivers or mailboxes at times) for flying mounts, especially drakes, being used as ground mounts. Dailies are even more of a drag without access to the fixed portals.
Ultimately though, I'm tired of doing more-or-less the same old things in different locations, and I think the community feeling has gone from WoW in the last couple of years; basically it's just got too big and impersonal now. Anyway, Gothfan's got to 70, 'mortis to '81 (and 'mella not far behind) - that's good enough for me.
A *HUGE* hug and thank you to those of you who have made the last 5+ years so enjoyable - I can't possily name everyone but (in no order) Goth & Val, Queez & Ik, GB, Fob, Cybertron, Hugor, Holydude, Entern, Jelly, Hobbers, Arona, Khaéla, Freefall & Sapper, Rockdoom - who got me into the Burning Dementors then gave the guild to me, thank you all. If I didn't name you, sorry, it doesn't mean anything other than my memory is bad.
Absolutely no thanks to the murlocs (apart from giving my phone a rather unique ringtone...).
My account actually expires in a couple of weeks, but I won't be trying to log in again, so this, as far as WoW goes, is goodbye.
Hmm, just as I typed that sentence a post-it note fell off the monitor. It says "WoW 6 Aug 2005 - Blog 12/2005" That was when my game account was created and the blog started. I'll leave the blog here for a while, but it will be deleted in due course.

I'd wish you'd leave the blog, cause it's so full of memories for me, but that is of course up to you, and of course we wish you all the best.
I must admit, that this actually brings a tear to my eye, and I'm gonna miss you a lot.

Thank you - I've been really rather upset all day over this (wasn't up to writing that blog post until 2-3 hours after cancelling the acct), but I had to quit eventually, and this seemed an opportune moment, which is certainly not to say I won't miss the family, 'mella, Down and GF in particular. Can't remember offhand when most of them were created - well, except GF; I know exactly how he came about <G>, but 'mella was my very first WoW character (albeit briefly as a lvl 1 druid).
I'd rather not post my personal domain address in public on here, but anything to any of my character names (at) gizmo1.demon.co.uk will get to me for the foreseeable future :)
As for the blog, my concern was for leaving an unupdated site online, but I'm happy to do so if you want it there :)
Otherwise, I recall, you once gave me a mail address for Phantomella, which we can use. That is, if you actually check that one :)
If it was that name at hotmail.co.uk I can still access it (just checked), but the advantages of the gizmo1.demon.co.uk addresses are that pretty much anything sent to them (actually anything to any name at that domain) gets here unless my ISP thinks it's junk, they come straight here, and any new mail is downloaded every few minutes ;)
Hey Phan, I've been waiting patiently (like a loyal puppy) for you for a few weeks now, and I've just read your post.
I cant believe you're leaving, it's brought a tear to my eye. You're honestly my best (and these days only) friend on WoW, and it wont be the same without you, you were one of the main things keeping me playing.
I'll never forget how much you've helped and supported me over the years, you were the first nice person I met when I started playing (Sitting in stormwind, all noggenfogger'd up ^^), youve lent me so much gold too (which I now feel bad I cant pay back, now that I actually have enough (btw, thanks for helping me get over my auction house addiction in the early years. Youve helped me recover from the 2 (yes 2!) scams and restarts of my account (Gender changes really do hurt). Youve also helped me above and beyond what people in WoW do, especially with adivce in trying times, and with tech support in video's ive made, web hosting, and advice for my site (rest assured there will be a memorial at Dwarfcraft.co.uk, and a video in your honour using the Invasion films intro you made for me).
You're an amazing wow player, a great human being/Elf/Gnelf, and most importantly, one of the best friends someone could ask for, and it hurts that I wont see you again. Thanks for everything, really. You'll be missed by all, and never forgotten. May a trail of Murloc corpses follow in your wake on your journey to the Twisting Nether.

I Will miss the epic times we had in Vanilla, waiting for 40 mins - 2 hours for BG queue drinking ale in the Darkmoon faire not being able to see where my char is walking ... or When your busy hugging the SW Tree(WHICH HAS BEEN DELETED WHAT HERESY IS THIS!?!?!?!?!?) with Gothfan or someone like that who for some reason didn't like me :( XD always with Your Owl .. also how u always seemed to 'never wanna level up' as soon as a new expansion releases as you deem there no point, then you notice a new 'outfit' at them levels, which you MUST get lol, so off you go on a leveling Streak! as a typical female eh? ;)

well i sit on 120k ish, but you can get some dks who stack Stam in dps specs(dunno why) so they sit around 140k, then tanks 180k ish
Hmm, unholy-specced 'mortis, at 81, had about 24k... (but only did dailies) lol ;)
